Hello! First things first... I lost 10 pounds this last month and I am totally excited!!! Still another 15 or 20 to go according to my doctor but I think I have already lost another 5 since the appt.!! Finally the baby fat is just melting away!!! I am doing this great 10 minute workout series that is a Tummy Toner. It has five different routines and they are only 10 minutes each and you can mix them up or just do one! I love it! Being a mom is busy and this is perfect for anytime!!

Second thing I really need peoples address for Christmas cards! A lot of you have moved this last year and I don't have your new address!! So if you wouldn't mind giving them to me I would love it!! If you don't want to post it here you can email me at anjlde@yahoo.com !! HOpe you all have a great week!!

OCTOBER

I was soo bad about posting in October! The month just flew by!! SO here are some updates about Nathan. He had is 18 month appt. and weighs 24 lbs. 12 oz and is 32 1/2 inches long. He is now climbing into everything and now gets to sleep in his own toddler bed! His bed bytheway is made out of our food storage!! We used some canned goods as box springs put his crib mattress on top and then surrounded the bed with our 5 gallon buckets full of sugar, flour, oats and chocolate chips!! What a way to sleep!!! He loves it and its great having him get our of bed himself!

Halloween was lots of fun! We went to our wards trunk or treat where Nathan went as the cutestest little firefighter!! I got some way cute pics of him in front of the fire hydrant ourside our house!!

This last week was really busy as I joined the Enchanted Entertainers group at our local library and we performed for two days (8-3) for all the Preschool- 1st graders in our little area! It was lots and lots of fun performing again and the kids seemed to really enjoy it!

We all seem to be finally on the up end of this horrible cold we all got and are trying to stay away from the Swine flu! Hope you all had a great Halloween!!

SNOW!!!

Last weekend was General Conference which was wonderful!! We watched the brodacast as Michael's parents house while also watching 9 inches on heavy wet snow fall down outside! ; it came soo early that all the green leaves fell from uor tree on Monday to blanket our lawn and cars! It was quite a funny sight! Today it started snowing again and hasn't stopped! Another cold snowy weekend! Too early for my taste and I miss the fall we didn't get!! I am still hoping it warms up and we get some nice cool wheather before winter stays around but sho knows!! Here are some pics of Nathan's experience with the new weather changes!! Hope you all are doing well!!

Lots of leaves~

Tearing them of the poor limb that broke off our tree! There were tons all around town!

Sinks Canyon after the snow!

Nathans reaction to snow! He doesn't like it yet! :)

Trip to Idaho Falls

In September we went to Idaho Falls, Id for Michael's mission reunion. Among other things we got to stop in Jackson Hole, Wy and browse around a bit which was way fun, see the Teton's, go to the Idaho Falls temple (GORGEOUS) and visit the largest Jackolope ever! I have a tradition when we go in big family trips (okay this wasn';t that big!) I like to buy a cookie cutter to remember it by. Well, I walked up and down the street in Jackson trying to find a cookie cutter and couldn't find a single one! So while Michael was at the temple in Idaho Falls, I found a DI center and was browseing and lo and behold I found a single solitary foot cookie cutter! It was 10 cents so I had to buy it! Funny what you will do for a tradition!! :) Our hotel was great, we used Priceline for the first time and we were very happy with our results! We were able to go swimming which Nathan really enjoyed. When we got back to our room, Nathan grabbed Michaels glasses off the dresser and off snapped the side!!! It was soo crazy and totally hilarious! So we are working on trying to get those fixed still! It definatly was a trip to remember! Here are some pics we took!

Totally made our of antlers! It was a big arch really cool and they have more than one!

The gorgeous Tetons! On our way home we say a MOOSE! Apprently, Yellowstone is having trouble keeping these in the park and we found one right outside Jackson!

Our good little travler!

The world famous Jackalope!

Long overdue Update!

Lets just say this is long overdue!! We finally had some really warm weather in September and Nathan and his friend Benjamin got to play in the kiddie pool! Nathan LOVED the water and just had lots of fun and laughs! I enjoyed it too! Especially the part where Nathan didn't burn!! Benjamin is 6 months older than Nathan and I remember meeting his mom Heidi in Laramie, Wy when she was pregnant with him! Nathan came along right after they moved (I think) and this summer we found both of ourselves in Riverton, Wy! What a small world!

A New Way to Fry Donuts

Well, I went to Smiths on Thursday and they had the marked down boxes of donuts. I knew I really didn't need them but I coulnt' resist thier tempting crys down the aisle. So I bought them made sure they made it home and set them on the stove while I started dinner. I was running late so a meal of hot dogs and mac and cheese was going to be our fabulous cuisine of the evening. I started the two burners to boil water and went outside to push Nathan is his swing because he has been such a good boy at the store. As I was playing with his little feet and making him laugh I suddenly smelt something burning! I run inside and found my box of donuts on fire!! I stood there for a second and just watched the flames dance and cook my delicious donuts. I put out the fire, noticed the house was full of smoke, opened the windows and went back outside to play with Nathan. After all no use crying over the milk I would have drank with the donuts! I had turned on the wrong burner as I have done three or four times scince we moved into our new place! Well, I'll get it sooner or later! Hope you have a great week!

The spots are....

Well, when we got back from Billings, Mt Michael started to break out in a bite-like/ rash sort of thing that really itched and made his life no fun. Well we went to the Doc. on Monday and they said that it was mites and so gave us a prescription for a lotion (that cost $140) that was a one time use and a pill for the itching. We did as the instructions said and the rash just got worse! I bug bombed the house we washed EVERYTHING and just couldn't figure out what was going on. Micheals spots where getting to be everywhere and his joints were starting to act up to. So today (Friday) we went back to the doctor. He ran some blood tests and found out that Michael has mono! Who know where he got it! I am pretty sure Nathan has it too because he has definatly not been his cute charming self the last few days. So our family is resting as that is the only thing to help Mono and I am going to be making sure Nathan gets his share of the Tylenol! :) Hope you all are doing well and have a great weekend!

Weekend Trip to Billings

Well this last weekend we all had the fun adventure of traveling to Billings, Mt to attend the temple. Nathan was perfect on the four hour down and four hours back trip. I think he had lots of fun too!! We left Friday got to Billings and did a little mall shopping. Nathan had fun in their childrens area (the first two pics). That night Michael went with his parents to a session at the temple leaving Nathan and me at our hotel. All of a sudden I noticed it was very quite. I looked for Nathan and found him in the corner of the room eathing his goldfish! It was just too cute! The next morning, bright and early Michael and I went to the morning session and had a wonderful time. We later went to Cabellas where Nathan got a free baseball cap, to Toys'R Us (too much fun!) and then hit the road home. We stopped to see Michael's grandma in Worland and got pizza for dinner! It was a fun, fun weekend getaway and getting to go to the temple!
Hope you all are doing great too!!

We Have a Place!!!!

On Saturday, Michael and I started renting this adorable guest house! It is a one bedroom but came with washer/dryer, AC, microwave and couch with a hide-away bed! This is perfect for us because it is a month to month and with the couch and bed we don't have to dig through storage to get ours out! We are extremly grateful to Michael's parents for putting up with us these past two months and we are excited to have our own place again! Nathan now plays with his toys and looks around in amazement that he doesn't have any competition! He loves his uncles and will still get plenty of play time with them but it is so nice to have a "down time" spot to escape too!

Nathans First Haircut

I finally succumbed and cut Nathans hair! He had the cutest curls but they were just getting too long and matted and it was not a pretty sight. So I chased him around the bathroom and we got some trimming done. The good news is he really looks like a boy and that his hair is curling a little in the back so those curls may yet return! I have included the before and after pics of his hair! Hope you enjoy!!

This is how long his hair was...
Now all cut!

What we have been doing...

This last week has been lots of fun for our family! Nathan finished the summer reading program at our library and they had a face painting picnic to finish it off! Isn't he a cute tiger?

Then we went to the lake for the first time and Nathan absolutly loved it! It was just Nathan and me with my sisters and we had a blast! I have a water puppy!

Then on Saturday we went to Rock Creek Hollow for our stakes Pioneer Celebration dinner and program. I love Rock Creek. The Spirit is so strong you have no doubt you are standing on sacred ground. Pres. Hinckley even said that he didn't know of a more sacred place than Rock Creek Hollow. For those of you who don't have any idea what I am talking about, Rock Creek Hollow is where the Willie Handcart company took refuge during a horrible winter storm in the Oct. of 1856. 17 members of thier company died and are buried there. It is a place that is very special for me becuase I really admire and love those pioneers who sacrificed so much to have religious freedom and be together with thier families forever.
Rock Creek HollowMichael and Nathan walked and walked into the hollow! It was a little windy but they made it!

Hope you all are having a great summer!!

Playing at the Sinks!

On Saturday Michael and I celebrated our 2 1/2 year annivesary! Since we were married in December we have found that doing things on our 1/2 anniversary is a great excuse to do something fun in the summer! We went to Sinks Canyon above Lander, Wy and had a picnic. The sinks is so full it was amazing! That is my favorite place in the whole world! It is so peaceful, quite and gorgeous! Here are some pics of Nathan at the little campground/playground that we found.

Nathan had a blast on the slide as you can see! Have a great week!

And the adventure continues...

This last week has been quite crazy! First of on Thursday I got the stomach flu AGAIN!! Two times in one month!!! Needless to say I wasn't a happy camper for a couple of days! On Friday, Michael's little brother Isaac (4) broke his thumb in the sliding glass door with a little help from his twin Kolter. That was really sad. It also had to get a couple of stitches which are really no fun either! Saturday I was asked to sub in Nursery with a 15 "I don't know your name" kids but before we even left the house, Nathan went sliding in the kitchen and got a shiner from the kitchen chair! Then today... my little sister Samantha (2) broke her elbow and had to have minor surgery to have pins put in so the growth plate can grow back and hopefully not cause any problems in the future! Quite the week for everyone!! I miss everyone in Logan and hope you all are doing great over there! The job hunt is still on but there are really not much oppertunites out there. It doesn't help that employers can pretty much ask anything they want and get it in this economy! Wish everyone a great week!!

I've Been Robbed!

Today I went to Casper with my mom and siblings. We went to the Eastgate Mall and had a yummy lunch and did some fun shopping. When we returned to my car (parked next to my moms van) Karissa mentioned that she couldn't find her purse that she left in the backseat. I looked and noticed that somethings had been shuffled around and didn't look right. Well, to make a long story short, Karissa's mp3 player, $45, a 20 questions game, and my cd case full of cds were STOLEN!!! You see the ignition key on my car is different from the lock key (the ignition was broken a few months ago and had to be replaced) so I don't lock my car. It was a very rainy Casper day so the last thing I would expect is mischief! I feel so bad! After all Karissa had a lot more taken then me and it is my car! My moms van was also opened and looked through but having all the 'baby stuff' kept it safe! I guess I just lived in Logan too long and forgot that people are stupid!
One good note is that Michael's parents finally sold thier house in Worland, Wy that has been on the marked for 3 years! Congratulations!!!
I also want to welcome Renford "Smitty" Smith to Riverton, Wy!!
To say the least life is never boring!!

Update

Hello! We are finally all moved and cleaned out from Logan. Its sad and exciting. Today, Michael started his weed and pest job (getting up at 5am not fun!). He works 6-6 so it's long days and we already miss him but are happy that we have a job and are around lots of family! The only sad thing is we got this horrible cold and it has been fall weather here making it impossible to get rid of!! It is June and yesterday it tried to snow! Go figure Wyoming!!
Nathan is adjusting quite well, the only thing I don't like is that he now wakes up at 5:30 am!!! I am not a morning person! But he is still just as adventurous and is now learning how to share which I think is good for him!
We made a breakthrough today.... Nathan picked up his blocks and atually tried to put the wagon away when he was done! He also put a pan back in the cupboard and shut the door!! It is a miracle we may finally be learning how to clean up!!! I am way excited can you tell?
We miss everyone in Logan and hope you all are doing well!!
Here are just some random pics of my boy!

Nathan being cute as always!

This was Nathan's idea of packing!

And here is a birthday pic! I realized I put up the video but never any pictures!

Move and FLU!!!!!

On Friday we moved to Riverton, Wyoming where we will be staying for the summer and then... who knows! Maybe a new job maybe back to school at UW! Saturday night, Nathan woke up at 11:30 will a full fledged case of the stomach flu (thats all I'll say!) and proceeded to share it with Mom and we think Dad is next on the list! Isn't nice that he already knows how to share? :) Hopefully we will all get over this quickly so we can go back to Logan on Friday and clean the apartment!:( We are going to miss all our friends in Logan sooooo much!! We love you guys!!

Nathan really is getting cuter and a lot move curious! Yesterday, I found Nathan in the bathtub (he finally has figured out how to climb in without falling!!). He also has his second cold! We have been sooo lucky that this is only his second! I feel bad that his nose is all runny and booggery but he is being a really good sport of it all. Hope you all are doing great!!!

Wille Family Rules!

Well, Michael and I have been discussing for a while some rules we want to have in our home as we start raising our children. Of course we didn't want a whole long list to always try and remember and of course things change over the years. Soooo... we decided to make it short and cover what we feel are the most essential areas of our home. Basically, if we start here the rest should take care of itself! :) So here they are (with some added defintion)

1. Choose to view others only in their magnificance.
We are all children of God and should be treated as such. Everyone is precious in his sight and if we all tried to act that way a little more I think there would be a lot less contention and a lot more love in the world.

2. Only speak in increase.
This one I really like. This basically is saying that there is no negativity within ourselves or those around us. We don't allow anyone to put themselves or others down NO EXCEPTIONS! Self-esteem is a major problem in our world today: He's stupid, she's fat... I'm ugly, I'm not good enough.. the list goes on and on! So to conteract this we are now striving to only speak in increase on a daily basis and this goes for all those we come in contact with.

I hope this isn't too confusing! Any questions and you can comment on here and I'll answer. We just want to raise our children in a Spirit inviting enviroment. Yes, we know that we will slip from time to time but having high standards make you strive to be better everyday and not settle for something less than you are. I personally, have problems with self-esteem and feeling caught in the middle of a fight that I don't want to have to begin with! I just never want Nathan or any of our other children to feel this way and I think this will help solve that. Family is soo important and I want my children to always boost eachother up in a world where everyone wants to bring you down. Hope you all have a great weekend!!

A Wonderful Easter!!!

Well, we all went to Pine Valley, Ut for Easter. I haven't been there in 11 years and it was soo much fun!! My mom and siblings came and stayed the night at my house and then we all went down on Thursday!
My aunt and her family came down on Friday! Lots of family and a few dogs!! My grandparents are so much fun and have the most wonderful house in the most beautiful place. My great-uncle Ralph has a big Easter lunch/ Treasure hunt for kids every year the Sat. before Easter in St. George. Nathan got to go on his own little hunt his favorite part? Sitting on the ground and playing in the dirt!! He is really walkin quite well and I love to see him go futher and futher! It was fun to see so much family and to see the restored chapel. They have been using it for the past 100 years or so and there we bats in the attic- literally!- so they came in cleaned out the bats and attached it to the foundation and cleaned it up a bit! I looks amazing!!!

And what made it even cooler was that I got a chance to play an old pump organ!!!

The pulpit was done by the same guy who built the conference center pulpit our of Pres. Hinkleys tree. If you can see the flowers in the corners they were drawn by Elder Packer and he has a bigger version on his mantle.

On Sunday we all showed up to church. My grandparents were going to speak and they were a little nervous. Well, during the Sacrament hymn, President Uchtdorf and his wife came in!!! Luckily, my grandparents didn't see him until right before they spoke or I think they would have passed out! I know I would have!! We got to here him speak of his testimony of the risen Savior and the joy of the gospel. It was really neat!! After the meeting we had the oppertunity to shake his hand and he said the Nathan, " is a very beautiful boy" in that wonderful German accent I love. He also told my grandparents that he was so happy to have found someone who says the Schiefer name right!! Most say "shafer" when it is correctly pronounced "sheefer". What a wonderful way to spend Easter Sunday!

We also visited the tabernacle and the temple visitor centers. Nathan was so wonderful during the 7 hour trip there and 7 hours back! Hope you all had a fun and safe Easter like we did!!

Nathan's Latest Adventures

To start off... yesterday, Nathan first discoverd how to take his diaper off! All of a sudden I see this cute naked tushy crawling across my living room and I looked again and said, "Nathan did you take off your diaper?" he turned, sat and smiled at me. Now today it is only 9 AM but Nathan has already had his share of more adventures! He woke up at 2:30 and decided not to go back to sleep until 4- and only in our bed. Then at about 6:30 he woke up and stood up to play with the headboard of the bed. Then in a sudden motion he DIVED over Michael and off the bed!!! Of course Michael and I jumped up and grabbed him. All was well, Nathan looked a little stunned and surprised but no tears and all smiles. Then later about 8:30 after he had his breakfast and was just cruising, Nathan found his way into the bathroom (which he knows how to open the door because the door is warped) and decided to try SOAP! He got a few little pieces and there are some really nice deep teeth marks left behind! What a guy huh? Well, I'd better not stay on here too long cause who knows what he wil be into next!!!

LIFE EXPLAINED!

Nathan is so close to walking any day I just expect him to start running!! He has started to blow raspberries with his tongue and its really cute! I hot htis really funny email today and thought you all should know how life works!! Hope you enjoy it!!
On the first day, God created the dog and said:'Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years.'The dog said: 'That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I'll give you back the other ten?'So God agreed.
On the second day, God created the monkey and said:'Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a twenty-year life span.'The monkey said: 'Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the Dog did?'And God agreed.
On the third day, God created the cow and said:'You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer's family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years.'The cow said: 'That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years... How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty?'And God agreed again.
On the fourth day, God created humans and said:'Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years.'But the human said: 'Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?''Okay,' said God, 'You asked for it.'
So that is why for our first twenty years we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.Life has now been explained to you. There is no need to thank me for this valuable information. I'm doing it as a public service

Weekend Wedding!

This last weekend we got to attend Jana's (Michael's sister) sealing. It was beautiful! The sealer did a wonderful job. I was really touched by some of the things he said. Its so nice to have time to think and remember sometimes and there are some moments in life that give you that opportunity! Everytime I see a brand new baby I think about when Nathan was born and Jana's wedding brought back memories of my own wedding. Some good, some bad but it also made me think how fast time flies and happy I am to be married to my prince!
