Kindness Day 3

Today, I remembered when I was pregnant with Nathan and told Michael one day that I was really craving Teddy Grahams (sp). I went off to school and when Michael came to pick me up in the passenger seat was a bag of Teddy Grahams and a sweet note!!! It was soo thoughtful and made me feel so special!

Last week, I got a cold (which still hasn't gone away) and my mom was so wondeful and picked me up some medicine so I could breathe! It really helped a lot and made my life a lot easier!

Every Sunday my Mother in Law helps up keep Nathan occupied during Sacrament meeting which is just wonderful and really helps the meeting go alot smoother!

I am just so grateful for the many wonderful people in my life who do the little things that really help me out!!

PS I have started posting the pages to Nathans book on my dezign website www.anjldezigns.blogspot.com if you are interested! Check it out!

A Great Family Night

With Michael working so much, which is a great thing, we haven't had too many family nights latetly. Sunday, Michael suggested we play Wii bowling (my fav game) and we were off! It was a blast!!! We just laughed and had a great time! We also tried playing Wii baseball for the first time. Totally love that one too!! I was sad when I had to get Nathan ready for bed and stop but glad that I did becuase the break made me realize I couldn't move! My muscles were soo sore!! (now that you are done laughing) Today (two days later) I am still sore!! I guess this means I need more exercise:) Nathan had fun watching Daddy and me make fools out of ourselves and laughed right along with us!
I left to put Nathan in the shower and came back to see Michael playing baseball against himself:) Couldn't resist the pic!
Nathan thinking we were pretty funny!!

Act of Kindness #2

There are so many once you sit down and start to think about them!

On Sunday, while we were attending church our landlord and his fiancee completly raked up all our leaves and bagged them for us!! I was so grateful for this. I had raked them into piles three or four times (thanks to Wyoming wind) and didn't have anyone around to help me bag them! Having that done just really made my day!

Nathan totally made my day yesterday but being so excited about the food I cooked. He loved his dinner and begged for homemade cookies before bed! How could I say no? His love for me just makes me feel so wonderful and I am so grateful for his compassion and love he shows already at such a young age.
I can't remember all the times that someone has held the door open for me in a public place. This helps me so much especially now that I am pregnant and hauling my almost two year old around, having someone just hold the door while my hands are fully really helps me out.

Prize Giveaway

Well, if you go to this website www.fairlyhappy.com/2010/03/pay-it-forward.html there is a chance to win some prizes by posting a story of some act of kindness (no matter how small) someone did for you! So here are a couple of mine that really stand out.

When I was pregnant with Nathan, I was going to school, working as a library sub, and trying to keep it all together (pregnancy hormones will kill you). The spare room in our house was a disaster.. not just a mess but disaster as in you can't walk in disaster. I had no time to clean it and it was really upsetting me. I was heading off to work one morning in tears because of my "messy" house and just didn't know what to do. When I got home that afternoon, my sweet husband Michael, asked me where some colored pens were for a school project he was working on. They were in the awful mess of a room. I went to go find them for him and when I opened the door I just about fell over. Micheal had spent the whole afternoon cleaning the room for me!!! It was organized and spotless!! After, looking in there I began to notice that my whole house had been cleaned for me!!! It may seem like a little thing but to me that was huge!!!

This has made me start thinking about all the little things people do for me each day.. especially my Heavenly Father who blesses me with tender mercies each day. I just need to pay more attention sometimes!! So this week I am going to make it a goal to think of one nice thing someone has done for me and post it! Hopefully I will think of soo many I'll have to edit it down:)

Isn't life great? (I know I need that reminder:)

Nathan's First Movie.. almost

Okay, so here in Riverton the Rec center is really nice sometimes and has free matinee movies for families. Today they had Alvin and the Chipmunks 2. I decided I would take Nathan and see how well he did since we really want to take him to Toy Story 3 in June so this was a test run
We got into the theatre got our seats (they have these cool booster seats for children now!!
All smiley waiting for the movie to begin! (it started 15 min. late so you can imagine the start of my frustration!)
Anyway, the lack of dogs, cats, and horses finally took thier toll on this little one as well as being naptime! I carried this little bundle out to the car after the movie.

All in all a good test run and I am excited when we all (Daddy too!) can go see Toy Story 3 in June. Hope you all have a great weekend!!

(Okay technically, this is Nathan's second movie as we went to Prince Caspain 1 month after he was born but he slept through it so it doesn't really count right? I guess based on that this can only count as 1/2????)

Noses and 'nitting

Okay so lame connection but you know:) We all seem to have come down with some really bad cold or sinus infection so today has been pretty low key and laid back! I got some cute pics (below) of Michael and Nathan laying on the couch together. Yesterday, I decided I wanted to learn how to knit so I taught myself in half an hour!! I was so happy!!! I knew how to crochet but had always wanted to try kniting. It is a great relaxer and just something creative to do! I am hoping to make a baby blanket for our new one:) Hope you all are doing well!!
Here is what I have done on my tester! Don't know what to do with it but its great practice!

Baby's Name (according to Nathan:)

Well, since we aren't finding out what we are having we don't actually have the name decided but today it was too cute. Nathan was looking at our family picture here on the blog and naming everyone. "daddy" mommy" na na" (nathan) and then he turned around and pointed to my belly and said "boo". So I guess our baby's name for now is "Boo"! I call Nathan boo sometimes so maybe that is where he got it! Kids sure do say the cutest things!!
Daddy and Nathan reading- one of thier favorite activities together!

Nathan enjoying the bowl from our St. Patrick's Day dessert! He later put it on his head for a hat!

Nathan's "New" Room

Okay so we are living in a one bedroom little guest house right now and so space is kinda tight. We are starting to look at houses and hope to have one before the baby is born(please oh please!) Well, just a few minutes ago I hear Nathan playing with his toys and look to see what he was doing. He had thrown all the toys out of his toy tote and climbed in to play with the ones he wanted! So here are the pics! It is really cute!

Barely see his head peeking out!
Looking for ways to "remodel"
Joyfully making space in his "room"!
Very clever little man!

Half Way There!

So today I went in for our 20 week ultrasound. Everything was good baby looked great:) I would post pictures except we couldn't get any good facial ones!!! We apparently have a stubborn and camera shy baby:) We didn't want to know if we were having a boy or girl which probably worked in our favor because the position of the baby would have made it near impossible to find out anyway. The heatbeat was good and we got a little video of the attempts to get a facial pic. Dr. Rothotlz was very nice in trying so hard!

Later in the afternoon, I went in to have three teeth pulled. The remaining wisdom teeth and brings my total teeth pulling up to 10! Next month I get to go have my bridge worked on since it is coming loose. Lets just say that genetics stink when it comes to teeth conditions and I pray non of my children inherit this wonderful condition.

Here are some pics of Nathan with his new hair cut (well trim) and his new found love of chocolate chip pancakes! He ate 3!!! He is still full of energy as ever and definatly getting the two year old attitude in shape! Hope all is well you all of you!!

Silver Markers, Freezer and TV

Well, Michael has to use permanant markers while working at Aaron's so invariable some of those accidently get left at home from time to time or in places where Nathan can find them. (He can find anything anywhere!) So one morning while Michael was washing the dishes (so sweet!) Nathan found the pretty silver marker and did some redecorating on the items in our home that were just too "boring". Hope you get a laugh... we did:)

Just got to love that guilty face!

No, my TV is not dusty its been silverized.. kids what would we do for entertainment without them?

February, Flu, Febrile Seziures, ....

What a month February turned out to be! The Aaron's store opened on the 12th and Michael and been working 6 days a week, 10-14 hour days! It's been quite insance!! We don't see much of him now but they are in the process of hiring more people so hopefully he will have a more reliable schedule in the next few weeks! We are extremely grateful to have a job and so that makes the time gone easier.

Nathan had a good Valentine's Day and was really excited about is "Bzzz" candy tin:)

I made my first batch of jelly EVER!! And the best part is it turned out!! I was scared to death while making and canning it. Quite pathetic actually, my hands shaking and talking myself through every step. But it turned out and actually set up so my pyschosis was worth it! It is my favorite of all time Pomagrante! I got lucky and was given a bottle of pure juice from my mom and it worked to make the jelly! Yummy Yummy!

Last week, was just insane!! On Wed. Nathan started throwing up and had gotten this nasty bug that is going around. I felt really bad for him and he was just sick. That night around 10 pm Michael (who had just gotten home) and I heard Nathan gag so we ran in the room to see if he was puking again. Nope Nathan had gone into a SEIZURE! Talk about panic mode. We waited it out and then took Nathan to the ER where we found out he had a temp of 104.2! The poor baby! We stayed until they got his temp down and then we came home. He was pretty sick for the next few days. Now we just have a runny nose and all the energy has returned! It was nice for a few days to have a clean house:)

Well, in the midst of trying to get all the laundry caught up (sheets, blankets, etc. you know) I was on my last load of the day when my dryer died! Just up and said "No MORE!" So that meant no clean sheets for three days until I could take them to our parents house to dry. Thankfully, the dryer we were using belonged to our landlord and we have another dryer at my moms house that should be delievered today! Yeah!!

I had been praying all week for Sunday to come and end this week of mishaps when another came bouncing along. After breakfast on Sunday, I started to feel sick. I of course thought that I had whatever Nathan had had. By the evening I myself was throwing up and upset that I had gotten sick. Just one thing was different, each time I threw up I was feeling loads better! Then Michael and Nathan started to complain of stomach aches and diarrhea (sp). Well, thanks to our marvelous refrigerator, we all got FOOD POSIONING!! The milk and leftovers had gone bad and so we all were sick for the night. Yesterday, our landlord came to look at the seal which is starting to really warp and realized that the fridge was set at the LOWEST setting! I felt so dumb! So we turned up the temp and hopefully our food should be safe again.

As March begins and I hope a little slower than last month! I could stand a few less events and more freedom however we all know life works in the opposite!:) Hope you all are doing great!!!
Here are some cute pics of Nathan!
