Here is our week three! It was a busy week- Michael and I both started school at CWC, we got our first exercise bike (I hope to get some of my baby tummy to disappear with it!), we had three 50 degree weather days (I have been in heaven- warm sunshine in Wyoming in January!) and Michael and I went to Billings, MT on Saturday to attend the temple (which was a long trip but wonderful!) and the boys got to spend the day with Grammy. Off to the start of a new week! I hope all's well with all of you!

This was quite the week- my puppy Anjl was put down due to her failing kidneys, liver and heart :( I made my first dinner on our new grill and the boys were rambunctious as ever!

Week 1 of the 365 Project

Hi all! I am still working on catching up with summer, fall and winter of last year (no biggie right?) :) and I am starting a new project this year- the 365! Everyday you take a picture and then at the week's end you compile them into a page and viola! the week has been documented! I have even set an alarm on my phone to remind me to take a picture everyday! It has been lots of fun so far and I am excited to continue :) Here is a look at our first week of 2012- I also post all my scrapbook pages on anjldezigns.blogspot.com if you ever want to see them! Here are some pictures from our Christmas! The boys were completely spoiled by Santa and their grandparents!

Ammon really loved his new train! (the train I had to 'send' to Santa per Nathan's request!)

Nathan kept saying that Santa brought him a Buzz last year and this year he wanted a Woody- Santa delivered!

We had a great Christmas and I sadly forgot to take my camera to our parent's houses but these show the beginning of what was a great day!!

Halloween 2011

So Halloween was kind of a dud at our house this year :( Not because I didn't get the costumes done, not because Michael had to work (he actually had the day off) but because Michael and I came down with the FLU!! Not the stomach flu but the achy, yucky, just want to sleep flu. Our boys were not neglected in the candy department however, the Great Pumpkin came after they went to bed and brought them each a small basket of candy because they didn't get to go trick or treating. We actually had the most trick-or-treaters at our door this year and we were just no fun. I was disapointed becuase we had a great matched theme this year- Nathan wanted to be Capt'n Hook with the hook and mustache- so I made Ammon Smee :) Here is a pic of the boys all dressed up at the library.

We did get some pumpkins cut before Michael and I crashed on Sunday :)

Amon didn't know what to think but Nathan just jumped right in! We let them paint their pumpkins and I learned the sad way that Dollar Tree finger paint does NOT come out of clothes :( but at least we had some fun!

It seems that I just can't stay healthy- last week I got food poisoning and that kept me home from church for a day of recuperation. Today is our primary program so I am a little nervous- I have never been in the Presidency before and I haven't done one in quite a while!!

We are taking Ammon to Casper tomorrow to have his ears and hearing checked and we hope they will schedule a date to put some tubes in. The poor kid has had 9 ear infections since March!

I am a little anxious but hopeful that it will be a good visit and productive.

Celebrating Family

One of my favorite blogs is We Talk of Christ, We Rejoice in Christ. Now starting on Friday- the Celebrating Family month begins!! A couple of blogs get together and talk about how we can all make the Proclamation to the Family a part of our lives. It is great and I am soo excited for all the wonderful postings and ideas!! On a family note, Ammon has started WALKING!! It is been lots of Fun!

We have been trying to get Nathan potty-trained but he is being so stubborn! When we went to Salt Lake last month he went the WHOLE weekend and had just a few accidents in the evening. Got home and REFUSES TO GO!! We are about to go crazy with this whole thing so any ideas would be WONDERFUL!!

Today is Ammon's 1st Birthday!!!! It just doesn't seem possible!! I will update more later but I wanted to show off the birthday boy and is cake- :)

Our Summer So Far...

We signed Nathan up for the summer reading program at the library. This year they are doing activity nights based on different countries that the children librarians are from!!

So first hand knowledge!

The first night was by Fanny who is from Switzerland.

Then a few days later we walked in Relay for Life. We originally were going to walk a mile and we had both strollers for Nathan and Ammon.

Nathan walked the first lap and then rode in the stroller the next two.

On our last lap, Nathan wanted to walk and continued to walk another two laps!! My little three year old walked 3/4's of a mile!!

So we walked a total of 1 1/2 miles due to Nathan's extra effort!!

Here they are the pictures from my NEW CAMERA!!! For my Mother's Day/ Birthday present- Michael bought me a new Canon Rebel XS EOS camera!! I am soo happy and excited!! I LOVE it and I am afraid that I will take WAY too many pictures!!! :)

I was practicing my manual modes and had Nathan run for me- he really got into it and kept say 'Ready?? GOOOO"

Last weekend, we went to Bountiful/Salt Lake for Micheal's brother Levi's wedding! It was beautiful- they looked so happy and it was a great weekend!!!

My wonderful, amazing friend Isabel was a SAINT and came to watch Nathan and Ammon during the sealing- that morning my mother in law's babysitter fell through and she was wonderful enough to watch Micheal's twin brothers as well!!! THANK YOU ISABEL!!!!

Here are the newlyweds- aren't they adorable?? :)

We went to the church history museum after the wedding and their children's area was LOTS of fun!!

I really liked getting to dress up in the fun skirts:)- Ammon thought they were fun too!!

Nathan and I learned how to do a few Mexican Dances together- he was so cute!

They had this huge mirror and Ammon found his soul-mate! It was the cutest!! He kept trying to crawl into the mirror! :)

Nathan and Ammon got to meet up and play with their cousin Marty (he is 8 months younger than Nathan)

They played really well with each other!

It was fun trip, great weekend, and lots of fun memories!!

I don't know the time went!!

I have a 3 year old!!

We had wanted to take Nathan on a picnic but the weather was cold so we went to Burger King had the whole play are to ourselves and the manager gave all of us free ice cream!!

It was officially his birthday when he got his slinky dog- he has been talking about this dog for 3 months!!

He spent like a whole 30 seconds contemplating the Beethoven Movie collection

Feeling down...

I don't really think anyone reads this blog and I am feeling pretty down so I guess I'll just go ahead and vent- I can always delete it when I'm done. Such a nice feature of blogging.

Today is just one of those yucky days- no sleep due to a 2 year old with a bad cold and a 7 month old who thinks he needs to get up an try to eat every hour... then this year just isn't going all that well. School is just eating me up- I have never missed assignments before and this semester I have forgotten 5!!! I have been lucky and able to make some of it up but... it's still just taking up all my time. If I spend time on my school I feel guilty for neglecting my house (which turns into a disaster) and my children (who turn into whiners) or I spend time keeping up the house and kids and then I constantly worry about all the stupid school work I have to get done! Now I was thinking of dropping out (it made sense) but then Michael didn't get accepted into the counseling graduate program so my stipend is the only reliable source of income right now. We are doing financially okay but you know - one trip to the ER would wipe out our savings and you never know what is going to happen. I feel like we have exhausted our options. Michael's career goals when we got married were to either teach seminary (went to Logan, Ut - rejected) and then school counseling (applied 2 years- rejected). Both of these options 'felt' right and we thought we going down the right paths and SLAM!!! Now its .... what now? And on top of that I get so lonely here in Riverton. I feel so 'young' around the women in my ward and just alone. All my life I have wanted to find someplace I belong and where I could have friends and Logan was were I finally found it. Moving to back to Riverton was the worst move of my life. I was leaving behind friends and a community I loved. Now I have accepted our move to Riverton but I thought this would be a 'stopping' place on our way to graduate school- but again 'now what???' Having to say this to a computer makes me feel like the worlds biggest loser- 'she has to talk to a machine because she doesn't have any friends!'. Oh, well... so now I have done my rant, feel really stupid and alone but I guess that's just life. I'll post this along with all the other forgotten posts and then tomarrow delete it when I come to my senses and lie to myself again that " I was just tired and so silly" ... but deep down knowing that there is some truth here.

Sick, School and Snow

So Ammon's 6th month stats are :

Weight: 16 lbs. 13 ozs

Length: 26 in. (although the Dr. thinks he is longer - the nurse measured him)

Today was great- Ammon woke up from his nap sooo happy and smiley! I looked and low and behold he has his FIRST TOOTH!!! YEAH!! Sooo excited! He has been teething this sucker for 4 months!

Lastly, tonight Ammon and Nathan had a wonderful bath complete with baby oil for their poor eczema:( I will be soo glad when this bitter cold leaves!!!

Cinnamon Rolls and Half a Year Old!

Hope you all are surviving this could front! It was - 3 today for out HIGH! BRRR!!

Here is what we have been up to this week...

On Monday Nathan helped me make cinnamon rolls. He helped me mix, waited for it to rise, kneaded his own little serving, sprinkled it with cinnamon-sugar and get to eat it!! It was lots of fun! I didn't get any pictures of him actually kneading and mixing (you can either take pics or enjoy the moment) but I did get a pic of the final masterpiece

Now today just happens to be Ammon's 6th month birthday!! He has enjoyed his veggies so far

peas, carrots and green beans

and pretzels! (Anyone know where you can find teething biscuits?)

Tonight he got to try squash and LOVED it!! He ate the whole 4 oz!

Cribs, Buzz, Princesses and Snowman

Ammon has now graduated from his co-sleeper to a crib!! Here is what he thought about it:)

Yesterday, after Nathan fell asleep I was able to snap this pic.

Nathan loves Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story Santa brought Nathan his bed set and Buzz. Oh how precious he is when he is asleep!

Now I am sure some of you have seen Enchanted (if not you need to!! ) and at beginning Giselle creates her prefect prince. This is what Nathan created in the kitchen today.

This is Nathan's 'Princess' she later turned into a snowman but I just couldn't help but giggle at the image of his future princess:) I will have to show this picture at his wedding someday!!

It is a nice 40 degrees outside and I am loving it!! Melt all the snow off our roads!!

Happy New Year!!

We are all doing great! It finally snowed!! For real!! Like if it got to 20 we would be having a heat wave! It's been soo cold!!! Nathan still managed to endure it to make this awesome snowman with Dad-

Sadly, some inconsiderate jerk in our complex completely destroyed it before I got a chance to see it in person I was at the doctor with Ammon to find out he has ANOTHER double ear infection :( the poor little guy!

Nathan decided this week that he no longer needs naps :( Poor Mommy!! Definatly NOT what I needed during the first week of a new semester! I am taking 15 credits online through the University of Wyoming and hopefully things will be easier than last semester (I am sooo glad its over!)

Michael has applied for the Master program in School Counseling at the University of Wyoming and has an interview day in February and we find out if he gets accepted in March. We are REALLY REALLY hoping to get in so any prayers our way would be greatly appreciated!!! The program starts in June so we would move in May if we got in. All in all LIFE IS GREAT!! We had an AWESOME holiday season (Nathan is still watching Christmas movies- so I guess we are still having it!) Ammon is starting to roll over more and more and I think if his ears would just stop hurting he would enjoy it much more. Nathan just comes up with the craziest little games- boy his imagination has no bounds- and its fun watching him grow.

Visiting Santa Claus

So Nathan was able to meet Santa twice on Saturday and LOVED him everytime!! It was lots of fun! Our local RAC advertised a Santa, we walked in the door, Nathan spotted that man in the red suit and just ran "Santa Santa" he yelled. It was just too cute. We were the only ones there so he got to just run up and jump on Santas lap (he needed no encouragement) Now this is where it gets funny. He was soo excited- so happy, had his arm around Santa's neck and they HE DEADPANNED!! He didn't say a word, didn't smile for the pictures, didn't move!!! He jsut has THIS look on his face- Santa then asked Nathan if he wanted a treat, slowly took him off his lap, Nathan got a candy cane, I told him to say thank you. He whispered a thank you to the associate that gave him the candy. I turned him around and told him to thank Santa. Instantly, he was back - alert, excited- and he yelled 'Thanks Santa!" and we left. All the way home, he talked about seeing Santa and that Santa gave him his candy! I couldn't help but laugh at the picture we are going to pick up next week (I promise to post it!)

Later the night was our ward Christmas party, again when Nathan saw Santa he was soo excited! He yelled "Santa! Santa!" had a hard time standing in line and just couldn't wait, ran up to Santa sat on his lap and once again.... he deadpanned!

As we were leaving, Nathan again had to yell three or four times "bye Santa!" And all the way home he talked about how Santa was going to come to his house!

The boys received bags of goodys and Nathan dutifully put his "lunch sack" a gift from Santa under the tree last night before he went to bed! I got such a kick out of the 'lunch sack' (where do kids pick up this stuff?)

Sorry for the long post but if you made it thought you know why I had to post it all- Kids are priceless, thier little funnies are just too cute to gloss over and its Christmas!!

Ammon's Stats

Computer is still down:( But finals are DONE!! We took Ammon to his 4 month checkup he did great with his shots this time! Here is his stats:

Weight: 15 lbs. 1.6 oz

Length: 25 1/4 inches

Sadly, Ammon also had an EAR INFECTION!! AGAIN!! This is the second one this little guys has had! We all caught this NASTY cold and are finally on the ups I think, and I hope we stay that way!

A Whole Bunch of Stuff

Thanksgiving we spent visiting both of our families and it was a pretty peaceful day! On Friday we put up our Christmas Tree!!!

Nathan was scared of the tree...

..until it came time to put decorations on!

Don't know why this turned! But Ammon had fun watching the whole thing!

I love Christmas Decorations- I seriously can't get enough and would leave them up all year long but that would probably be litte too wierd- even for me:)

It has been SUPER cold and finally warmed up enough to give us a little dusting of snow. Very powdery but Nathan LOVED it! Last year he would cry when there was snow on his shoes from walking to the car... this year???

I think the pictures say it all!

Last but definatly not least... Ammon is 4 months old today!!! 4 MONTHS!!! Tomorrow is his check up and I'll post his stats after.

Ammon has grown so much in such a short time. He just can't wait to walk -run- after Nathan and adores his big brother! He is really getting the hang of grabbing things with his hands and taking them straight to his mouth.

We have been battling colds over here but I hope we will all be well for CHRISTMAS that will be here before we know it! I am also almost done with school for the semester and can't wait till its over- then the really holiday fun can begin! Hope alls well with all of you!

A New Key

...to the church.... responsibility setting in... what have I got myself into.

Okay so its really not all that dramatic but I really did start feeling some heavy resposibility with my new calling... I am now the Activity Day girls leader!!! I am really excited but a little nervous since the program has changed a lot since I was in it (okay so it wasn't all that long ago... but it sure seems like it!) I tried to have a meeting last night to see when is the best time to meed and most wanted a once a week meeting at the church...that should keep me busy! I am excited to get to know these girls and actually get to do some girl stuff! Love my boys but you know...

Speaking of my boys.. they are doing great and getting too big too fast!!!

Nathan is picking up his colors really fast and just talking away! He understands EVERYTHING and is alwasy listening so we have to be careful what we say now!

Ammon is sooo close to rolling over and has discovered his hands. I love it when babies see thier hands and just stare in awe! They both have colds right now but hopefully thats the extent of our sickness this week!

Michael didn't get the job in Afton, and so we are still applying for the Masters Counseling Program at UW and applying for jobs... Michael would really just find a job so if you here of anything let us know!

I am trying to survive this semester in one piece! I hate that teachers give you soo many assignments, tests, and projects all due at the end of the semester ON TOP of the weekly stuff you have already been doing. Online classes have sure changed a lot from when I started taking them... a lot more work and time than they used to be.

Overall we are doing great and are so grateful for the many blessings we have! Its been great to look back over this past year and see how many blessings we have been given! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

So I feel as I have really neglected this blog but I have been busy!!

It also didn't help that last week, we all got the flu!!! Yuck, Yuck and Double YUCK!!!!

We are now better and are so grateful to be over one illness this fall.

Tomarrow we are taking a trip to Afton, Wy for a job interview!!!

Other than that, we are just keeping busy chasing the two boys and getting ready for the holidays!!

The trip to Logan, UT!!

WE MADE IT!!!

It has already been a week but oh it was fun!!! We left Wed morning and came home Thurs night.

Michael and I were able to attend the temple, we went to Seagull, Deseret Book and DI so I am set for Christmas:) We also made it to the Creamies outlet (rejects are only 17 cents!) and Sonic for Happy Hour:) We ate at the IHOP and now I am a major fan!

But I would have to say the highlight of the trip was the Willow Park Zoo.... and that is an understatement! Nathan had the time of his life!!! The pics say it all! We had to go again before we came home (it only costs $1 for adults and 50 cents for kids!!) The kids were great and it was a great trip!!!

Nathan couldn't get enough of the racoons. We went a dusk the first time and they were very active and chittered away at him.

Now, if someone had drawn this duck I would have laughed and said 'you can't be serious that that is real!' here is proof- the funniest duck!

Now my favorite animal at this zoo the Caupuchin Monkeys!!!

Fun story- This one had a plastic container and really was playing with eat, trying to eat, etc. Dropped it and another monkey picked it up. This one here raced down to the ground and the other monkey dropped the container and ran! It was soo funny! This monkey then took the container to the highest part of the encagement! Not a boring moment with this bunch!!

The second day there we bought the ten cent food so Nathan could feed ducks! He got quite a kick out of it!

Yesterday, we went to our WIC recert appointment and since both my boys are 2 1/2 we got some stats and here they are:)

Height: 35 1/2 inches

Weight: 14 lbs.

With these stats Nathan should be 5'11'' when grows up!!! Totally excited:) Love my boys! Getting too big soo fast!

Today we blessed Ammon Robinson Wille in church today. It was so neat to have all of our families here! All of Michael's sibelings came and my grandparents came. We got to attend two homecomings this year, Riverton and Shoshoni! I didn't get any pics from Riverton's because it was so dark but the little boys and I statyed for the first quarter to cheer thier Uncle Joe (Michaels' brother) on! Michael was able to stay for the whole thing and sadly Riverton lost to Buffalo 49-22. The boys and I made the trek over for Shoshoni's homecoming to hear the Aunt Vallory (Delina's sister) sing the National Anthem, she did great! We again only stayed for the first quarter and sadly Shoshoni also lost but I don't have the score becuase it was soo sad (so they tell me).

Nathan LOVES football already and it was fun taking him to some games and hearing him yell his litte 'go, go' along with everyone else!

Our Trip to...

the middle of nowhere and back again!

So.. yesterday (Sunday) we left town to go to Logan, Ut for three days! I was super excited and had been wanting to go on vacation for months and we were going to go to the temple (its been a year!) Everything looked like it was going to work out perfect, hotel reserved, a list of things and places to do and visit, and the weather was gorgeous!

We got almost to Farson, Wy and my car completly died. It seems to maybe be the alternator but it could be more becuase my battery cables are rusted and so who knows all that is wrong with my car. Last night, Michael's parents were kind enough to come pick us up and bring us home. Today Michael and his dad went and towed my car back to my mom's house so my brother can work on it and see what is wrong.

Attack of the Rabbit

Nathan and Domino have become really good friends! They chase each other in the house. Domino will actually listen to me when I tell her to get back in the living room. She has become soo comfortable in our house- no pooping or anything! I was happy and thought "How wonderful that Nathan has a little pet friend" That was until Thursday....

Nathan was getting in Domino's face and I told him to becareful and not scare her. Being two he did it again and this time instead of running away Domino jumped at him and accidently got his little nose. While I was cleaning Nathan up he kept begging me to let him go and play with his B somemore so I knew that everything was okay... until Friday.....

This time Nathan didn't do a thing. He just went up to her and she attacked!!! Needless to say Domino is no longer welcome in the house and we are making plans for her to leave. This time when I was cleaning Nathan up he said "No B in house". It looks much better today and I didn't get to take family pictures like I had hoped (happens everytime right?)

So to start with, Nathan finished the 60 day reading challenge from Scriptures 4 Kids and should be getting a $10 gift certificate to Deseret Book! Nathan also has gone 36 hours without his pacifier!! Two bedtimes and a nap!!! We are so proud of him and I am grateful it has gone so smoothly!!

I started school this week and two of my classes I have the WRONG book!! So the correct books have been ordered and I hope they get here before my first assignments are due!! I am taking 15 credits and I hope it won't be too overwhelming... at least after the first few weeks:)

Ammon is growing and growing and streching out feedings a little longer (I got a three hour stretch-finally!!)

All in all we are doing great and hope you are too!!

Yesterday Ammon's belly button finally fell off!

This morning we gave Ammon his first bath!! I thought he would hate it as he throws a little fit everytime I dress and undress him... he hates being naked. But to my surprise he LOVED it!! I felt bad having to take him out! He just laid there and was so peaceful. A different experince than Nathan's first bath for sure:)

Today our little Ammon is already 1 week old! Time sure flies:) This last week has been soo wonderful!! Having a new little boy added to our family, the wonderful support from family, Michael being so wonderful in doing everything around the house and Nathan stepping gracefully into the role of 'big brother' with both feet! It is so much fun to see the similarities and differences between brothers. One that I really enjoy is that Ammon will already sleep for a 3-4 hour stretch at night:) Nathan was every two hours... every two hours:) Here are some pics of Ammon and some of Nathan too. Nathan getting to meet his new little brother! He has been wonderful!!

So I went to bed Sunday night wondering yet again if this would be the last night I had to try and sleep with this baby in my tummy. I dreamt that I was having contractions and then was awakened at 1 AM by Nathan who had fallen out of bed! When I returned to bed I realized that the contractions were REAL and they were about 2-3 minutes apart. I waited about 1/2 an hour before waking Michael. We then called my Mom to come and stay with Nathan. She showed up ten minutes later with my sister Monica (who hadn't even gone to bed yet!). We went to the hospital. They said I was still between a 2 and 3 cm dialated but they would keep me for a while. I continued to dialate 1 cm every hour and at 8:15 AM after two contractions of pushing little Ammon was born! I was soo grateful that this labor was much quicker than Nathans (he was a 22 hour baby). We were able to come home last night and it is soo great to be home!!

Nathan adores his baby! When he came to visit me yesterday, they had taken Ammon for his circ. and Nathan about lost it... "wheres baby??!!" We found him and Nathan was very relieved. He has been like that ever since. Very concerned about the whearabouts of his little brother! Ammon has his days and nights pretty mixed up (he woke up EVERY hour last night) but hopefully we will get all that straigtened out before long! Hope all is great with you all!!

Friday Date Night

Friday night was lots of fun!!! To start things off, Nathan gave me a beautiful flower he picked on his own and gave to me all by himself!! I wore it in my hair for the evening and felt very special that I recieved my first flower from my little boy!! Michael took us out to the Airport Cafe (which really is in the airport here in Riverton) Nathan was not a fan of the real stuffed animals they had in the lobby but he sure was a fan of his dinner choice- one HUGE panacake! He ate most of it and was actually a really good little boy! We were lucky and for most of our visit it was only us so it was quiet and nice. Michael's and my food wasn't as good as Nathan's but the trip out as a family was way worth it.

Last night we went to the twilight parade for the Fair this week. Nathan absolutly HATED the fire engines and semi trucks!! The horns sent him into a fit!! I swear he screamed louder than the sirens!! We were lucky to be standing in front of Jerry's Flowers and Things and the owner kindly offered the inside of the store for Nathan to stand in with Daddy until the trucks were gone. However, Nathan LOVED seeing the horses and one of the men running for Sheriff this year played "Bad Boys" from his float and Nathan really enjoyed the song! All in all its been a great weekend!!

So... we are still waiting for little one #2 to make thier grand apperence:) Nathan has done his part by telling the baby to "come out... boy" Its just tooo cute! He is determined that he is getting a 'boy baby' and there is no talking him out of it! He isn't getting a brother or sister just a boy baby. The good news is on Tues. I was dialiated to 2cm soo anyday we hope to meet this little one! Here are some (hopefully) last baby bump pics of me:)

A new brand of fish food aka a strange flavoring for pie crust

Yesterday, I decided that I wanted a lemon meringue pie. I just didn't get around to it so I woke up today determined to make one. I was mixing the ingredients together for the crust when Nathan came over and said "help me" which translate "I want to help". So I was measuring in the sugar when I noticed that the sugar stuck to the measuring spoon so Nathan's hands had to be wet... now where did he play in water? My first thought of course was the toilet but then I watched Nathan grab a fruit snack off the table and take it to our fish tank and drop it in!!! Fish water pie crust!!! I quickly dumped my crust and started over:) With this boy life is always an adventure but I wouldn't have it anyother way!!

Oh, and today is my due date but no sign of baby yet. We have a doctors appointment this afternoon so we will see what he has to say!! I am hoping that something has changed from last week!!

Storytime and Angel Food Cake

Last week was a craft day at the library for the summer reading program. Nathan really enjoyed it! We made a cute oyster our of egg shell cartons complete with pearl:), Nathan painted a pet rock (he was really proud of it), made a frog out of a cork (sorry no pics-the frog has since gone the way of the craft graveyard) and finally we made an ocean in a bottle complete with REAL OCEAN SAND! It was fun and thanks to the wonderful librarians for all the hard work they put in to thier programs!

New Rabbit Home

So we made a hutch for our new rabbits our of Nathans old, rickity, unsafe crib!! (For details click here) Nathan is still very happy to have his sweet pets around and I am sooo happy they are finally outside! (They were making such a mess every night!) Now they have room to hop around and fresh air. Unfortunaly, they may not be our guests for very long as our apt. complex is very unfair. They say they let in animals but ONLY if you have a Dr.'s note (something they didn't tell us until AFTER we got the rabbits) and the papers they want signed are ridiculous! They talk about disibilities and how the animial is needed for a person to enjoy the same life a regular person does, etc. things like that! I asked my Dr. yesterday if he would be willing to sign and he said no. I don't honestly see how two quiet, harmless rabbits harm anything but whatever. There are two apartments that I know of that have a St. Bernard (thats for medicinal purposes?) and a 20 lb cat (for a boy who is "lonely") so I don't know what we will do. We are still trying to figure something out and are stalling for time but in the long run the bunnies will probably go to my mom's to live. Any way here are some pics of our rabbits and thier new home:)

Dangers of Strawberry Syrup

So since I haven't worn myself out enough (I did a yard sale on Fri and Sat) I decided to make and can strawberry syrup last night. I was really excited because strawberries were on sale ($1 lb!!) and I really wanted some strawberry syrup for pancakes, waffles, ice cream, etc. so I though why not can some? All was going well until I poured a jar of boiling water on my arm as I was draining it and then the ring and lid came off my second jar of syrup adding a bunch of hot water to the mix and taking away most of my strawberry chunks!! :( I drained some of the water and canned the jar anyway! So it may have a funny taste but we will see!

Oh, and for infomation purposes:) if this baby does not come in the next 10 days they are inducing me!

My first hard scrapbook pages!

Yesterday, I went to a scrapbooking classed being taught by my friend Tessa Buys. She is a great and avid scrapbooker and I have never tried to make a hard copy page before so I decided to go and try my hand at it! It was lots of fun and frustrating for me. I have a hard time putting complementary colors together and having a boy limited the choices I could use (since I wanted to make it for Nathan- of course). But Tessa was soo patient and helped me A LOT!! I had to leave (Nathan was ready to go) before I could glue it all down and so I finished them this morning! Tell me what you think!

Dentist and Park

Nathan had his first dentist appointment yesterday and I think he did very well. We found out he has a cross-bite but there isn't anything they can do for it until he is six. We also learned he has inherieted his mothers teeth (sorry) and so we were told to make sure we always send him to bed with clean teeth.

For being such a good boy we went up to the Sinks since we were already in Lander, and Nathan had fun on the slides as you can see! Hope you all are having a fun summer!!!

Okay so we get home and it is nap time. Nathan refused and refused to go to sleep so I just left the room and waited to see what would happen. I found him like this half an hour later. He just didn't want to go to sleep:)

Bunnies and Fish

When I was growing up in California, we used to raise rabbits for fun:) I have soo many bunny stories and some are really cute like the one rabbit we had that was more of a watchdog and would guard our house and take walks around the neighborhood and then come back home! We didn't even cage him.. miss you Harry. Also a wonderful love story between Bugs and Pepper... have to tell you that one in person:) All in all I was the bunny fan in my family. LOVED THEM!! So sad whenever we moved and had to leave it all behind including my little dropper-fed dwarf Shasta. Anyway, I decided that I wanted to start looking into getting some rabbits of our own now that Nathan is really into animals and we have an apartment that lets us have pets. I went to look at the start up prices (cages, feeders, etc.) and I was appalled!! It was like $150 bucks before you even got your rabbit! So I backed off for a while and thought I would gradually get into this since there aren't many rabbit breeders in Wyoming (for pets anyways) and just see if I could get supplies at yard sales and then try next summer to get it all together. Besides we are having a baby in the next few weeks so.... backing off for a while sounded good. Then yesterday my mom texted me a number of someone giving away two rabbits for free. I called and lo and behold he was giving away the hutch he made, a really nice cage with bottom, feeders, heated feeders, his food can and everything you need for rabbits!!! I was way excited and Nathan has been estatic having "beees" in his house. We hope to pick up the hutch sometime soon and then they will be outside most of the time but they are perfect!! They are both female and one is a pure white New Zealand and then the other is one of her babys from a while ago and she is a mix with a Rex so they have very soft fur and are very tame. They are also very big which works to our advatage as Nathan can't just pick them up and try to haul them around or get scratched. They have run around our living room for a while and Nathan just loves to play with them!!

Now to the fish. I also had a fish tank growing up- a real nice setup 50 gallon tank on a handmade stand, you get the picture. I bought a little beta tank last summer and the fish always died!!! I think there was some bad bacteria in the rock but whatever. So again I gradually thought I would ease into getting a tank and all the equipment since start up for a 20 gallon tank is at least $50 before you get the fish! (These prices are killing me!! ) So I again was just looking and scouting around. Yesterday, (it was definately a Delina's wish day!) my mom found me the whole start up kit for $10 at a yard sale!!!! I will post pics when we get the tank set up. Wal-Mart is our only source for fish and I looked today and they look pretty sick and I don't want fish to die on my again! So, check back!

I will just say that all this happened after I had a rough beginning of a week. I was just feeling a little low in my faith and just down.. I'm sure part of it was pregnancy hormones but I was just not myself. Then Tuesday night as I was going to bed and saying my prayers (half-heartedly) I got the thought "why won't you trust me?" It really struck me and I started trying a little better to be hopeful for my future and stop being so downer. Then Friday happened and WOW! I am not saying that everthing always turns around so fast but it was a nice reminder that unexpected blessings do come and we shouldn't lose faith when things are down. I hope you all are having a great summer!!

The Library presents Andy Mason!

Today we went to a summer reading program at the library. (Last week I performed with the enchanted entertainers and it was lots of fun!!!) This week, we had a performer from New Mexico who performed for all us. His name is Andy Mason and I think the kids really enjoyed it!! Here is a video that I took of "Everybody Likes Pizza". Nathan loves to read and just loves going to the library so I am glad that they try so hard to have fun programs for the kids!!

He has three cds out and you can buy his songs on iTunes!! He was selling them for $5 so I couldn't resist but buy the one most of his performance came from. We listened to it on the way home and I saw Nathan dancing in the back to it soo already worth its money!! Hope you all have a great week!!

4th of July Weekend

So we had a fun 4th of July weekend!! On Saturday, we had a backyard BBQ lunch with Michaels family and later that night we went to Lander where Dr. Bills (an orthodontist) puts on an elaborate fireworks show complete with narration and music!! There is a big hill you have to climb up to actually sit on the hill and have a front row view or you can just sit in your car, parked very carefully among the numerous vehicles that arrive. I originally thought staying in the car would be better because I wasn't sure I could handle the hill. However, when we arrived Nathan had been sooo good all day and he asked ever soo sweetly if we could get out so.... we got out his stroller and trekked up the hill. I was surprised to find it invigorating and not too tiring!!

We arrived in time to get some ice cream that the missionaries were dishing up (yearly tradition) and Nathan was great!! He didn't like the fireworks sooo he hid under the blanket and whimpered here and there. He DID NOT want to watch or see them at all! It was sort of funny! IT sprinkled a little on us but the rain didn't start until we were leaving! It was lots of fun and I am glad we went!!

On Sunday, my family had bought some fireworks so we headed out to their house for some more explosions and root beer floats (our family tradition). I had hoped maybe this time Nathan would be okay with the quieter, smaller fireworks but the same thing happened! He hid under the blanket and this time actually fell asleep because they weren't too loud! Again another fun filled evening and a great weekend!!!

Okay so I look extremely pregnant here (but come on, I am sitting cross legged on a TRAMPOLINE so of course the baby is in my ribs..) And of course Nathan's enthusiasm for fireworks just shines through:)

We now know it needs a new fuel pump so Kyle came by to load up the car and take it out to my moms to fix in her shop. Michael had taken the keys to work (habit I suppose:)) so I left Nathan with Kyle while I went to pick up the keys. Before I left I found Nathan hand conjoled Kyle into reading him a book. I couldn't help but grab a quick video:)

I left and when I got home they were in Nathan's room reading yet another book!! Kyle said they had also "rode horses" together too! Too much fun!

So today I realized that tomarrow is June 27... my due date is July 27... so I am pretty much on the verge of the one month countdown! WOW!! I can't believe that baby number 2 is so close to being here!! Other than throwing up for two months straight, this really has been a good pregnancy!! The only time I really feel pregnant is when I wake up in the morning and can't get out of bed or when I get into bed and try to get comfortable to sleep! Nathan has definatly done a good job of keeping me active and fit this time around :) I am excited to see how Nathan is when we bring a new baby home and to actually find out what it will be!! (By the way, only 8 days left to place your vote!!)

Today I had Michael take some pictures of Nathan and my baby tummy so here they are!

Okay so Saturday as Michael is heading back to work from his lunch break a big calico cat just comes running into our house. It looked really hot and had pretty big green eyes so I let it cool off for a while. I found out it was declawed and maybe pregnant. I asked our maintance guy if he knew who owned the cat. He suggested I try a few apartments down. I took the cat down the street and it jumped out of my arms like "I know where I am" so I just left it and went home. End of story.... so I thought.

Yesterday, Nathan and I went to Casper. We had lots of fun!! Nathan was a perfect angel and the weather was good so a great day.

He even slept on the way home- gotta love his pacifer barely in his mouth!

Michael's car won't start so I just waited at my moms when we got back until it was time to pick Michael up from work. We got home and I was trying to get Nathan into a bath when I hear Michael call my name. I come out to the kitchen and he points to the window. Outside our back door the calico cat is back and it is pawing at our door to come in!! We let the poor thing in and Nathan was estatic!! "My nat(cat), my nat!" We walked out front to see if anyone might be looking for thier cat. Thats when we found a can a tuna outside our door. We didn't put it there and our neighbors said they didn't either! Totally wierd! The cat ate some of the tuna and Nathan just couldn't get close enough!

Suffice it to say, I went to Wal-Mart at 9:30 last night to buy a litter box and some cat food. We decided we might as well keep it for a while and see if anyone puts up some missing posters because its declawed (so it is cruel to just throw it outside) and because Nathan is in love with it. Oh, I also found out that the cat is just fat and it is in fact a boy so the baby problem only exists with me:)

UPDATED: The owners had reported him missing to our apartment manager soo the cat is now home again:) Nathan had fun while it lasted and shed a few tears of goodbye but he hasn't mentioned it since!

We had a pretty quiet Father's Day. We made gorilla bread for breakfast (a cream cheese version of monkey bread). We to church where Nathan really wanted to sing the Father's Day songs with the primary but when told he was too small he still gave Dad a "great big kiss" much to the enjoyment of Michael and those sitting behind us:) We ate dinner at his parents house- steak and mashed potatoes with Fat Boys for dessert (did I ever mention that Michael and his family are related to Casper Merrill that started the whole Fat Boy business in Logan, Ut?) Need a summer read?

When I lived in Logan, UT I found a series of books based on the scriptural account of Nephi and their journey through the wilderness to the promised land and then the family separation. I have been hooked by this author ever since- Heather B. Moore. Just as I finished the Out of Jerusalem series I found out she was releasing a new book -Abinidi. I couldn't get my hands on it fast enough. Then came Alma. I just couldn't stop reading when ever I opened one of these books. Then finally this month along came Alma the Younger.

Now, I also have a secret fear that when an author that I love keeps coming out with new books that maybe the new books will be a disappointment to the previous titles. I eagerly awaited for my copy of Alma the Younger to come in the mail and was equally curious to see how this story could unfold without seeming over-the-top with the character of Alma the Younger.

When I opened the first page, it was there- the horror, panic and terror that drew me into Abinidi- the climax of an awful event starting to happen and leaving me wondering "how did it come to this?" I was hooked and couldn't put it down. The characters are real. The gradual decent of Alma the Younger completely believable (haven't we all felt a little wronged by someone in religious authority before). The conversion of Alma the Younger testifies to the truth of the account from the Book of Mormon. There is a pure spirit in those pages that completely surrounds you. I was brought be to tears and my testimony was strengthened that God does hear and answer our prayers!

Once again I have devoured another great novel by Heather Moore and eagerly await the arrival of Ammon. Already, my copy is out and about to those that have fallen in love with her works like I have. Let me know if you want to be on my list :)

Relay For Life and lots of Rain!!!

As I was driving home last night, I passed the high school where they had all thier stuff set up for the Relay for Life this weekend. I decided that if I wanted to walk for it tonight was our best shot becuase it was supposed to rain all today (and it is). So I gave Nathan a bath and we headed out in the sprinkling weather to walk. We walked a mile and I was really proud of us! Nathan didn't fall asleep as I had hoped (it was 8 pm) but he was a great trooper. We left just as the rain was really starting to come down and we were just starting to get chilled.

I don't know why Nathan stuck his tongue out when I asked him to smile!!

I can't believe this rainy weather. It wouldn't be so bad except its cold - feels like March instead of June- and we are already having flood problems in this area!! My heart and prayers go out to all those who are already flooded out and how awful this rain must be making them feel!! Not to mention the more accumulation of snow in the mountains meaning this flooding is goign to last for quite a while!!

Barbeque!!!!

Last night, I finally set up out litle grill we have had for 3 years!! This is really the first place we have lived where I could. And I started easy and barbequed some chicken. It turned out great and I am way excited to have a grill and to know I can make it work!!

A Good Sunday

Just to let everyone know, we got new callings in our ward today:) Michael was called to teach Sunday School to the youth and I was called to be a Nursery Floater (pretty much a permanant sub:))

Also, today I had an experience that really touched my heart. I don't know if many of you know anything about this little boy named Lance. We had him brought to our home(when I lived at home) three days before his first birthday and he weight 12 pounds. He has a type of muscular dystrophy that can only get better, not worse (its just depends how severe it was when they were born and how much they can overcome). He was soo small and tiny and we all fell in love with him. We had him for 18 months before he went to live with his grandma. Lance is now 5 years old. His grandmother recently joined the church and we just moved into thier ward! Today as I was taking a restroom break between meetings (pregnancy will do it to ya everytime!) I saw Lance in the hallway. He still doesn't speak but he can throw fits when he doesn't want to do things. He was all alone and his teachers had tried to get him to go into primary and even offered to let him go to the nursery and play with puzzles. He just sat crouched against the wall and wouldn't move. They walked away to tend to thier business and I just wondered if Lance would even talk to me since it has been quite a while. I sqatted down in front of Lance and just said his Hi and his name. He looked at me and gave me the biggest hug!!! He just climbed into my arms and just held on to me. I wanted to cry.. this sweet little boy actually responded to me and maybe remembered me a little. I asked him if he wanted to go to Primary and he pointed to the primary door. I took his hand and he lead me into the room and found his seat. I had to leave and go talk to the bishop (to be extended our callings) and I don't know how the rest of the time went. I just know that Heavenly Father really is there and we get tender mercies poured upon us in ways we never would expect and they are the sweetest gifts of all. Advice Please!!!

So here is the story, no matter what I do...Nathan takes AN HOUR or more to go to bed at night!! He won't stay in his room by himself but I am at my wits end sitting in there with him! I have tried shortening naps, no naps, later bedtime, earlier bedtime (a couple of days back to back to have a semblence of a schedule) We have the same routine everynight! Bath, story, bed but he takes forever to sleep! Naps are just as bad a majority of the time! I limit his tv/movie watching to one when he wakes up in the morning but thats it! It doesn't matter how much time he spends outside running or not! HELP!!! PLEASE!!! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

How can you resist that? :)

Yesterday the sun decided to make a comeback! It was lots of fun to sit outside and have Nathan run around in our yard. I even got the start of a tan line!! :) Here is a pic of the cool dude!

This morning I made a magazine rack for out bathroom! (magazines everyway was really annoying me) It was recycled and I was proud that I figured it out! Here is the final product being used:)

While I was creating this craft (for instuctions go to dewthis.blogspot.com) Nathan brought out his barn to play with near me! He was so adorable here are the few pics I snapped of him playing with his animals!

New Blog

So as my sister graduated and I started thinking about how fast time flies.. I decided I would start a blog full of crafts, recipes, tidbits of advice and anything else that might come in handy for my children as they head off to college or start thier own families! So I thought a blog would be the easiest way to do this not only for them but for me since I often loose track of things I have done or wish I could remember how such and such went! Monica's Graduation

So it happened! My little sister Monica, (okay so she is 18- not so little anymore) graduated from Shoshoni High School yesterday! I am so proud of her and she looked so gorgeous in her cap and gown!! Here are some pics. I also got Nathan all cute for church in our new ward (he did GREAT in nursery) but all he would give me is prison photos!! I promise I was not torturing my kid:) Have a great week!!

Finally Some Updates!

So we are officially moved in and unpacked!! Except for the boxes that are now going to a yard sale (why oh why do we carry junk around and not get rid of it till after the move?)

We LOVE our new house, apt, whatever you want to call it! Three bedrooms and plenty of space for Nathan!

He is so much calmer here and loves having his own room finally!! My birthday was on Saturday (15) and Nathan gave me a wonderful gift of the stomach flu!!! Half an hour before Michael and I were to leave on our "dinner date" Nathan threw up and then I spent the next three days sick as well! Monday I had a doctors appointment and was really close to being sent to the hospital for an IV becuase I had gotten so dehydrated! Tuesday I went back and was okay and by Wednesday all were well!! It is nice to have the sickness GONE!! The weather has been super crazy here in Riverton, WY last Monday we had SNOW, this Monday it was 80 DEGRESS!! No wonder we got sick!

Nathan is just as cute as ever! He is talking more and more each day and is becoming so independent! He is eating like crazy too!! I am just so blessed to have such a sweet adorable little boy! He is going to be a GREAT big brother:)

Michael is still working like crazy and we never know when we will see him but we are soo grateful for a job right now. Hopefully, he'll be promoted soon and that should help out a bit.

I am down to the final 10 weeks! I can't believe it! I am now starting to feel the "oh my gosh, we are going to have another baby!" panic. This pregnancy has been better in that I have more energy (thanks to Nathans never ending energy) and so I feel a lot more fit and alive this time around! (I might be bitting my tongue in a few weeks .. we'll see:))

All in all we are doing good and really enjoying our new house and space!

Black Eyes and Boxes

So on Tuesday, Nathan decided to try and dive off our bed and caught some bucket right in the eye on the way down!! I felt soo bad!! I took him to the doctor that afternoon and he said that it was close to splitting the eye but would be okay! Here are some pics of his eye that day. Today.. couldn't really tell anything happened! Kids heal sooo fast!

And now we are OFFICALLY MOVING!!!! It's just across town but it is to a very nice three bedroom!! The only downside is it is in a complex and we will have neighbors again:( But we are hopefully cleaning our house out on Saturday and then we will be cleaning out storage next week when we can get some ward help! I am sooo excited to finally have all my stuff under one roof again! Also, I will finally have the chance to decorate a room for Nathan! He has never had his own room and so that will be lots of fun!!!

Nathan's 2 year stats

Yesterday, we went to Nathan's 2 year checkup. He was a surefire two year old (if you get my drift) and he had to have two shots. Afterward, we went to the park were he ran around for an hour and just had lots of fun!!

Weight: 29 lbs, 13 oz (40%)

Height: 34 1/2 inches (60%)

So his growing precents are still about the same which means he is doing great!! We love him sooo much and have a lot of fun!!

By the way, we will NOT be buying a house or building a house anytime soon as we went to talk to the back yesterday and they totally gave us a quote $60,000 LESS than we had hoped for and that puts us in the "there is nothing in that range AT ALL" section. So we are looking to find a bigger place to rent. I will say I was soooo bummed last night! It felt so right and we worked hard to make it affordable and them "SLAM" went another door in our face! Life is never an easy go, thats for sure!

Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little brother Alvino, who turned 5 today!! I will post some pics later! Have a great day!!!

Nathan's 2nd Birthday and 100 Days to Go!

I can't believe my little boy is 2 years old!! It just doesn't seem possible! It seems like yesterday, we finally got to meet you after 14 hours of impaitently waiting:) You were born at 9:35 AM and were just perfect! It has been a wonderfully fun two years and we are so grateful to have you part of our family and can't wait to see you be the big brother this summer!!

Yesterday, we went to the park and had a family birthday party! Here are the picks!

Nathan is into farm animals.. however he said he wanted the "puppy" cupcake so my artisic ability is lacking! (already knew that he just confirmed it!)

We had hot dogs and chips!

Nathan had lots of fun playing in the play yard and the open grass!!

My attempt at a barn pinata! We were worried that the kids would break it open too easily and not get a turn.... we ended up tearing the bottom and Michael took a couple wacks to release the goody bags:)

I had the hardest time lighting the candles!! There was just enough of a breeze that they kept blowing out! I think I lit at least 10 matches!! Nathan looks excited! He really wanted the "Cake"!

So, Nathan opened his first present and it was horses. He LOVES horses!!! This is the face he made when we were trying to get him to put them down so he could open his other presents. It took 10 minutes to "help" open his other presents... he was just happy with the horses and didn't want to let them go!!! It was a little ackward but I am soo happy to have a little boy so easily content!!

So in the process, Michael and I took our presents and saved them for today. This is Nathan opening a box of farm animals and of course there was a horse in the mix! :) It is soo funny how much his loves his horses! They go everywhere and he sleeps with them! I wonder if he will grow out of this phase or he'll always love horses and puppies?!?!

We love you Nathan!!!!

Today also marks the begining of our 100 day countdown to our new little one!! We are excited and Mom is really glad that we are getting close:)

Easter!

Easter was a nice quiet morning at our house! First off Nathan slept till 6:30am which was a wonderful change from his usual 5! Then when he saw his basket the first thing he did was reach for Homeward Bound (puppies) and smile this adorable smile!! He loves this movie so we bought it for him!

After picking up the movie and telling me "puppies!" He promptly said, "I'm done" without even looking in the eggs or anything:) He wanted to watch his new movie so of course we let him.
I made some Danish/Cinnamon Roll things (very dissapointing) and Nathan thought it was fun to swirl his finger around the cream cheese filling and then lick it of his fingers:) It was cute to watch!

We then got dressed and went to my parents house where they had a cool Toy Story bucket full of some treats for Nathan. My mom helped him find the cute chick on the bike to drive around the room.

Now what?

After my mom's house, we went to Michael's parents and watched the morning session of General Conference. Can't get much better than conference on Easter Sunday! What a sure fire way to have the Spirit that day! We then came home, ate our yummy meal and put Nathan down for his nap. Michael and I watched the afternoon session on our computer and just relaxed for the afternoon. About 3:30 Nathan came out to lay on me and fall back asleep. He slid down and slept on my tummy. A few minutes passed when I feel this kick directly below his head. I felt it again a few seconds later and then again! Our little baby was upset that Nathan was sleeping on me and was trying to kick him off! It was the funniest thing!! I sure got a "kick" out of it! (I know bad pun:)) Our little baby has been so shy so to have it respond to Nathans presence was great! Hope you all had a great Easter!!

So we got a nice wet start to April! It snowed all day yesterday and Nathan finally decided that he loves snow! (Took him 5 months:)

Kindness Day 5

So today I have been reflecting on the things people have done for me in the past.. most specifically this last Christmas. We were out of work and two or three people left us Secret Santa packages!! It was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for us!! I was soo thankful for kind considerate people who would think about our family at that time of year! Thank you to everyone for your kindness!!!

Last night, one of my dearest friends told me that I was a special person and I can't tell you how much that meant to me! It reminded me of the quote that says (paraphrasing) God uses everyday people to meet our needs! I have been feeling pretty lonesome and nervous about our future and talking to her just made my life soo much better!!! Thanks Isabel!!!

Kindness Day 3

Today, I remembered when I was pregnant with Nathan and told Michael one day that I was really craving Teddy Grahams (sp). I went off to school and when Michael came to pick me up in the passenger seat was a bag of Teddy Grahams and a sweet note!!! It was soo thoughtful and made me feel so special!

Last week, I got a cold (which still hasn't gone away) and my mom was so wondeful and picked me up some medicine so I could breathe! It really helped a lot and made my life a lot easier!

Every Sunday my Mother in Law helps up keep Nathan occupied during Sacrament meeting which is just wonderful and really helps the meeting go alot smoother!

I am just so grateful for the many wonderful people in my life who do the little things that really help me out!!

A Great Family Night

With Michael working so much, which is a great thing, we haven't had too many family nights latetly. Sunday, Michael suggested we play Wii bowling (my fav game) and we were off! It was a blast!!! We just laughed and had a great time! We also tried playing Wii baseball for the first time. Totally love that one too!! I was sad when I had to get Nathan ready for bed and stop but glad that I did becuase the break made me realize I couldn't move! My muscles were soo sore!! (now that you are done laughing) Today (two days later) I am still sore!! I guess this means I need more exercise:) Nathan had fun watching Daddy and me make fools out of ourselves and laughed right along with us!

I left to put Nathan in the shower and came back to see Michael playing baseball against himself:) Couldn't resist the pic!

Act of Kindness #2

There are so many once you sit down and start to think about them!

On Sunday, while we were attending church our landlord and his fiancee completly raked up all our leaves and bagged them for us!! I was so grateful for this. I had raked them into piles three or four times (thanks to Wyoming wind) and didn't have anyone around to help me bag them! Having that done just really made my day!

Nathan totally made my day yesterday but being so excited about the food I cooked. He loved his dinner and begged for homemade cookies before bed! How could I say no? His love for me just makes me feel so wonderful and I am so grateful for his compassion and love he shows already at such a young age.

I can't remember all the times that someone has held the door open for me in a public place. This helps me so much especially now that I am pregnant and hauling my almost two year old around, having someone just hold the door while my hands are fully really helps me out.

When I was pregnant with Nathan, I was going to school, working as a library sub, and trying to keep it all together (pregnancy hormones will kill you). The spare room in our house was a disaster.. not just a mess but disaster as in you can't walk in disaster. I had no time to clean it and it was really upsetting me. I was heading off to work one morning in tears because of my "messy" house and just didn't know what to do. When I got home that afternoon, my sweet husband Michael, asked me where some colored pens were for a school project he was working on. They were in the awful mess of a room. I went to go find them for him and when I opened the door I just about fell over. Micheal had spent the whole afternoon cleaning the room for me!!! It was organized and spotless!! After, looking in there I began to notice that my whole house had been cleaned for me!!! It may seem like a little thing but to me that was huge!!!

This has made me start thinking about all the little things people do for me each day.. especially my Heavenly Father who blesses me with tender mercies each day. I just need to pay more attention sometimes!! So this week I am going to make it a goal to think of one nice thing someone has done for me and post it! Hopefully I will think of soo many I'll have to edit it down:)

Nathan's First Movie.. almost

Okay, so here in Riverton the Rec center is really nice sometimes and has free matinee movies for families. Today they had Alvin and the Chipmunks 2. I decided I would take Nathan and see how well he did since we really want to take him to Toy Story 3 in June so this was a test run

We got into the theatre got our seats (they have these cool booster seats for children now!!

All smiley waiting for the movie to begin! (it started 15 min. late so you can imagine the start of my frustration!)

Anyway, the lack of dogs, cats, and horses finally took thier toll on this little one as well as being naptime! I carried this little bundle out to the car after the movie.

All in all a good test run and I am excited when we all (Daddy too!) can go see Toy Story 3 in June. Hope you all have a great weekend!!

(Okay technically, this is Nathan's second movie as we went to Prince Caspain 1 month after he was born but he slept through it so it doesn't really count right? I guess based on that this can only count as 1/2????)

Noses and 'nitting

Okay so lame connection but you know:) We all seem to have come down with some really bad cold or sinus infection so today has been pretty low key and laid back! I got some cute pics (below) of Michael and Nathan laying on the couch together. Yesterday, I decided I wanted to learn how to knit so I taught myself in half an hour!! I was so happy!!! I knew how to crochet but had always wanted to try kniting. It is a great relaxer and just something creative to do! I am hoping to make a baby blanket for our new one:) Hope you all are doing well!!
